Tukwila, WA –
Today, the OL Reign announced that Nick Perera, our now outgoing WYS Executive Director, as their organization’s new General Manager. The OL Reign recognized his talents and recruited him for what he has described as his “dream job.” Although Nick has only been with WYS for a short time, he has created positive change and momentum and leaves our organization poised to capitalize on this new energy. Washington Youth Soccer celebrates this opportunity not only for Nick but for continuing a strong relationship between our organization and the OL Reign in support of our female athletes.
In addition, and to ensure a continued dedication to providing the best programming for our soccer community, we are excited to announce that we have hired Roger Levesque as WYS’ new Executive Director. Roger has an extensive soccer background both as a professional player and through his commitment to youth engagement as part of the board of the RAVE foundation. The last several years he has been working in business development in athletics and secured his MBA from the Foster School of Business at UW. More detailed information about Roger is posted on washingtonyouthsoccer.org.
Having just completed an extensive national search for an Executive Director we knew what we were looking for in an Executive Director and found Roger. As we are building momentum and a return from COVID, we are continuing with the current structure where the Executive Director serves as our technical expert and works with our Director of Operations to continue the work of moving us forward.
Roger started today and his email is RogerL@washingtonyouthsoccer.org. Please join us in welcoming Roger to the WYS family!
As always, thank you for your ongoing support of the players and families of WYS.
